The XUV700 became the XUV 7XO, and the price list was rebuilt rather than reprinted. The base MX trim is gone, an entirely new AX7T tier sits between AX7 and AX7L, and the line-up went from 18 combinations to 27. Most carried-over variants got dearer — but the cheapest way into all-wheel drive got more than two lakh cheaper. Here is the full ex-showroom list.

What actually changed

AX7T is the real news. Seven variants, from ₹21,64,000 to ₹23,99,000, filling the gap where buyers previously had to jump straight from AX7 to the fully loaded AX7L. It also carries the cheaper of the two AWD variants, which is why all-wheel drive stopped being a ₹26 lakh proposition.

The naming got tidier too. XUV700 trim names carried the seat count — AX5 7Str, AX7 6Str AT. On the 7XO seven seats are the default and only the six-seat cars are called out.

XUV700 vs XUV 7XO: who paid more

Fourteen variants carry over cleanly between the two line-ups — same trim code, same fuel, same gearbox. Twelve of them went up, two came down. The pattern is not the usual one: it is the mid-spec AX5 and the top AX7L automatics that absorbed the biggest rises, while the AX7 diesels barely moved.

Four XUV700 variants have no successor: MX 5-Seater, MX 7-Seater Diesel, AX5 S 7-Seater Diesel and AX7 6-Seater AT. If you were shopping the MX, the 7XO has nothing at that price — the range now starts ₹54,000 higher.

The 7XO runs three screens, and one guard covers them

The 7XO's dashboard is a single glass span with the driver display, the infotainment screen and the passenger panel all under it. That is a lot of surface to keep clean, and a dry cloth on it once is all it takes to leave swirl marks across the driver's line of sight.

Every trim, one part. Unlike most of the range, the 7XO uses the same display across AX through AX7L — so there is no variant to check before ordering.

The rest of the interior kit

Three more precut pieces are cut specifically for the 7XO. Bought together with the screen guard they come to ₹3,396 against ₹6,796 of MRP — about 0.13% of what an AX7L Diesel AWD AT costs.
